The Stacey summer scarf is a loosely knit soft cotton scarf that is knitted in the garter stitch using two different size needles. The loose knit and the bright colors make this scarf perfect for cool summer mornings and evening. You can make any length you want to get the look you want. Pair this scarf up with a jean jacket and cotton t-shirt!

We have knitted up 3 different versions: Pistachio, Buttercream and Confetti. Pistachio is knitted using 2 skeins of Pima Tencel. Butter is knitted using 1 skein of Pima Melange. Confetti is knitted with Sierra Quattro. All of these yarns are nice, soft cottons.

Material Checklist:

• 1-2 skein of Pima Tencel, Pima Melange or Sierra Quattro, depending on length of scarf
• For Pistaschio, size US #6 and #13 needles or the needle size that meets the gauge.
• For Buttercream, size US #8 and #13 needles or the needle size that meets the gauge.
• For Confetti, size US #8 and #13 needles, or the needle size that makes the gauge.
  

Gauge and Sizes:

	Pistachio Instructions: Step 1 With #6 needles, CO 20 sts. Step 2 Work garter st for 25 rows. Step 3 Change to #13 needles and work garter st for 7 rows. Step 4 Change to #6 needles and work garter st for 15 rows. Step 5 Repeat steps 3 and 4, eight more times Step 6 Finish pattern by working garter st for 10 more rows using #6 needles. Step 7 BO.
	Buttercream Instructions: Step 1 With #8 needles, CO 20 sts. Step 2 Work garter st for 15 rows. Step 3 Change to #13 needles and work garter st for 9 rows. Step 4 Change to #8 needles and work garter st for 15 rows. Step 5 Repeat steps 3 and 4, six more times. Step 6 BO.
	Confetti Instructions: Step 1 With #8 needles, CO 4 sts. Step 2 Work garter st for 5 rows. Step 3 Add one St to each end of the row; should have 6 sts Step 4 Repeat steps 2 and 3; should have 8 sts Step 5 Repeat steps 2 and 3; should have 10 sts Step 6 Repeat steps 2 and 3; should have 12 sts Step 7 Change to #13 needles and work garter st for 280 rows or approx. 88 inches in length. Step 8 Change back to #8 needles, work garter st one row. Step 9 Decrease one St at each end of the row; should have 10 sts. Step 10 Work garter st for 5 rows. Step 11 Repeat steps 9 and 10; should have 8 sts. Step 12 Repeat steps 9 and 10; should have 6 sts. Step 13 Repeat steps 9 and 10; should have 4 sts. Step 14 Work garter st for 4 rows. Step 15 BO.
